Build AI on Monday.com with Eden AI

Just like Receipt and Resume Parsing, Invoice Parsing is a tool powered by OCR to extract and digitalize meaningful data, Computer Vision to identify structure of the document, and NLP techniques to pin down the fields.
Invoice parser technology extracts key information from an invoice (.pdf, .png or .jpg format) such as the invoice ID, total amount due, invoice date, customer name, etc.
Invoice Processing implies the necessity of software and technology to automate the processing and management of invoices. It includes tasks such as capturing invoice data, validating it in comparison to purchase orders, and routing it for approval, payment and archiving.
The goal of AI in invoice processing is to improve efficiency, accuracy, and speed in handling invoices without any human intervention.
How to bring invoice parsing to Monday.com with Make?

The following tutorial will teach you how to automate the data extraction from your invoices with Eden AI and add it on Monday.com.
1. Watch emails & Iterate attachments
First, you have to set up the Watch emails module to indicate which emails you are interested in:
Then, add Iterate Attachments. This module will allow you to parse all emails attachments:
2. Connect your invoice parser API key 🔑
Once you’ve made sure that the above parameters will fetch all invoices from your Gmail account, you can connect Eden AI’s invoice parser module.
To do so, first create an account on Eden AI to locate your API key:
Then, enter your API key on Eden AI’s invoice parser module:
Next, select the language of the invoices as well as the providers from which you will retrieve information:
3. Connect to Monday.com & add a new item to your board
It’s time to log in to your Monday.com account!
First, select the data you want to parse on Monday.com with the Create an Item module, which will add a new item to your board with the chosen data:
Note that if you want to extract taxes you will need to add an Iterator module in between:
This module allows you to access to the elements of a Make array, which is an Array of items of the same type (in this case collections).
In the example below, you can access the different elements of Taxes array (the different taxes collections):
Each array item will output as a separate bundle.
Back in your Monday.com module, you can retrieve the data with the field “Value” from the iterator:
Run once to check that everything works correctly. Then, your data will be written in your board as such:
